Our Mission Statement: Our mission is to enhance family life by providing quality care and age appropriate
learning experiences in a Christian environment, for children in Kindergarten through the Sixth grade.

Ministry Philosophy:
We believe children will develop the confidence needed to reach their potential when:

Each child feels secure in the presence of warm and loving adults
Each child is acknowledged and respected as a unique individual
The environment provides appropriate choices that encourage the child’s natural curiosity and desire to
learn
Each child is exposed to a thoughtfully planned curriculum, which addresses the important dimensions of
growth: social, emotional, spiritual, physical, creative, and cognitive
Each child’s parents and the staff at MASM form a partnership in support of the child’s positive
development
The daily schedule is consistent to provide predictable routines which encourage security, flexible to
provide for special situations; balanced to provide for leader / child initiated activities; indoor / outdoor
experiences; active / quite periods; and group / individual play.

Each school day the MASM staff picks-up 40 children from Holly Spring – Motlow Elementary and Campobello-
Gramling Elementary School. We have a devotional time, snack time, homework time, and play time each day.
During devotion we learn Bible trivia questions, memorize Bible verses, listen to Bible stories, participate in
Bible drills, and learn music for the seasonal musicals. All of our snacks are provided by the church family.
Members that would like to provide a snack are assigned a “snack day” each month or every other month, and
they choose to either make a homemade snack or donate monetarily for the snack. Each Christmas and spring
the children present a musical to the church family in appreciation for every thing that the church does for them.
We have presented such musicals as: Miracle on Main Street, Promise U, Christmas in Reverse, Esther-ordinary
Faith, Angel Alert, Holy Moses, The Little Drummer Boy, and Meet Me at the Manger.

To enroll your child in the MASM, you must fill out an application form and submit it with the Registration fee and
the first week’s payment. Please contact the Motlow After School Ministry Administrator for more information.
