Jeremy L. Barnette, Administration and Children
Pastor Terry has been serving at Motlow for four years.  He is married to his beautiful wife
Cookie and they have one daughter, Shannon. Pastor Terry has served at Mount Vernon
Baptist Church and Christian School, Centerville Baptist Church, and Airport Baptist Church.
He has also served at Siloam Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church as Youth Pastor.   He
holds degrees from Anderson University, Columbia Bible College, Central Wesleyan College,
and Wren High School.  Pastor Terry and Cookie have established Life-Aid Inc. (now known
as LIfeAid Ministries) which is a mission ministry to Hungary, Romania, Russia, and other
countries currently being added.  Pastor Terry has vast experience in the ministry and has
preached an eight day crusade at the largest Baptist church in Europe, Emmanuel Baptist
Church.
Jeremy has been at Motlow for nine years. He has been full-time staff for the past six years and
has served part-time in the past. Jeremy has a BA degree from North Greenville University in
Church Music. He has also completed work at Southern Seminary in KY in Children's Ministry.
Jeremy plays the trombone, trumpet, and piano. His wife Melissa currently works at North
Greenville University in the Financial Aid Office and is a Financial Aid Counselor. They have
been married for five years and have one son, Devan. Jeremy and Melissa are an important
part of the missions ministry at Motlow Creek. Jeremy has been to Russia and they both have
been to Guatemala and Mississippi. Jeremy has been involved in the music ministry, youth
ministry, and is the Administrator of the Motlow After School Ministry, and assists with
preparation for LifeAID mission trips.
Marie has served as part-time church secretary for four years. She and her husband, Hugh
have been married  for 26 years and they have one son, Lucas. She has an associate
degree in Computer Technology from Spartanburg Technical College, but “retired” from full-
time employment as a network technician to stay home with Lucas, now nine. Marie, as well
as Hugh and Lucas are active members at Motlow.
Josh began his official duties October 15, 2006. Josh graduated from Chapman High School
in June of 2006 and is currently attending North Greenville University majoring in Christian
Studies. Josh has been to Guatemala with LifeAID Ministries and hopes to go on more
Mission Trips in the future.
Rhonda Loftis received her Bachelor of Science degree form Gardner Webb University in 1997
and a Master of Education degree (M.Ed.), with an emphasis in Community Agency Counseling,
from Clemson University in 2001. She is licensed as a professional counselor intern (LPCI) in
South Carolina.  Rhonda has over seven years counseling experience working with adults and
families.  Her work includes helping individuals and families with issues related to domestic
violence, depression, anxiety, loss and grief, healthy relationship development and Christ-
centered spiritual growth. She has a strong desire to use the gift of counsel to help others find
hope and healing through the love, grace and power of Jesus Christ.  Rhonda and her husband
have four children and are active members of Motlow Creek Baptist Church.  For more

Chris Hood, Director of Music
Chris is Motlow’s newly hired music director. He is married to LifeAID Ministries Executive
Administrator Shannon Rainey Hood who is also Pastor Rainey and Ms. Cookie’s
daughter. He received his degree in education from the University of Georgia, and he will
be teaching at Landrum High School starting this Fall. He has been blessed with an ear
for music, and he has had the pleasure of singing in great church choirs led by gifted
music directors who have helped develop his voice and musical abilities. In addition, he
has played the trumpet in a church orchestra. Chris has sung solos and played the
trumpet on two short term mission trips to Russia with LifeAID. He enjoys various types of
Christian music that lifts up Jesus.
